Syncopated vomit

This is how I describe the vocalizations of most modern metal bands. Whatever happened to the art of carrying a tune...to...singing? I'll never understand, let alone enjoy (or even appreciate from afar), the indecipherable, guttural regurgitations that masquerade as melodies and have enamored most metal bands since the late 1990s.
